With stalls locked in, the Devonport farmers market is ready for its revival this weekend.

Re-branded as 'Love Devonport Farmers Market', the market has been modelled on the popular Launceston Harvest market, and will take place at the Devonport Showgrounds.

Showgrounds developer Simon Want said about 15 stall holders were lined up for Saturday, with a focus on high quality fresh produce.

Eventually, he said, this would likely increase to include craft stalls, with a waitlist already building for potential stall holders.

"For generations the Devonport Showground has been a place where people from the Devonport region come together each week to share a story, check in , and perhaps stock up on some local produce.

"The Love Devonport Farmers Market will build on this tradition."

The market will run from 8.30am to 12.30pm, April 23.

They will operate twice a month from here.
